Hey, look, it’s a model of the pavilion.
BILLIE
It looks like a wedding cake.
ALFIE
A very funny wedding cake.
BILLIE
You know how everything inside looks kind of Chinese? Everything outside looks kind of Indian.
ALFIE
Is that what India looks like?
BILLIE
It’s what people thought Indian palaces looked like when they built the pavilion. But most of them had only seen India in paintings.
ALFIE
And look on the wall. There are photographs of the damage from the storm. You can see the stone ball that fell through the roof of the music room.
BILLIE
When you’re ready, we’re going to go through the door on the right.
ALFIE
